You don't have to have had friends or family cared for by St John's Hospice to join us on our Moonlight Walk - this is a chance to celebrate anyone you have loved whilst supporting a vital local charity. We have big plans to celebrate St John's 40th anniversary in 2026 - will you join us?

You don’t have to have had friends or family cared for by St John’s Hospice to join us, this is a chance to celebrate anyone you have loved whilst supporting a vital local charity. As well as friends and families, team, clubs and businesses of all shapes and sizes are welcome to take part.

This year we're introducing an EXTRA shorter route! We've listened to your feedback and added an 8km option, half the length of our usual route. We hope this will make the Moonlight Walk more accessible to people of different ages and abilities 

The minimum age for the 16km route is 11 years old. The shorter route is open to all ages with parent and guardian discretion. 

The Moonlight Walk is a sponsored 16km or 8km night time walk around Lancaster and Morecambe which starts and ends at St John’s Hospice on Slyne Road. Every walker is issued a t-shirt which they can personalise in memory of someone important to them.
